Scholars from UT Austin, the RAPID group, spent two weeks at IRIS, Norway, as part of the project NorTex Data Science Cluster, funded by the Research Council of Norway.
The two researchers, Adrian Ambrus (right) and Roman Shor (left) from the RAPID team were sent to IRIS as a part of NorTex data science cluster project and to further extend research collaboration with IRIS (photo: IRIS). In June 2016, they spent two weeks together with IRIS researchers, where they among other things, looked into research on latency in real-time drilling data. The main objective of their visit was to create stronger relations between researchers in Norway and Texas. Intially, this collaboration will result in a paper presenting an overview on latency (the time delay from measurements to simulation and response).
